Dream, Believe,
Achieve! is a program designed to encourage high school students in
University Circle to work with their teachers and guidance counselors to
identify unique personal skills and use them to work toward specific life
goals. Through a series of performances and motivational speeches provided by
current college students from the Cleveland Institute of Music (who are also
active members in the professional music fraternity, Mu Phi Epsilon), the
high school students will gain inspiration and momentum to take action in
regards to their own life goals through the catalyzing effect of positive
role-models. Through this yearlong, project-oriented program, students
will have the opportunity to utilize a particular skill or interest to make
an impact in the University Circle community while competing for scholarship
money. Continual support and feedback will be provided by the college
students. Scholarships will be awarded to the high school students who show
the most thoroughness and enthusiasm in completing the program requirements. |
